video recap: march 2013

It's April, y'all. That means it's time for another monthly recap of the goings on at Change the Word as told by me through vlog.

I have a big of an announcement toward the end of this video, so make sure you watch through the finish.

I hope I didn't oversell that announcement. It's a definite work in progress, but I'm pretty darn excited about it. Makes everything feel more real. If you'd like to check out the results for yourself, click here.

I forgot to mention it in the vlog, but today is the kick-off of the first session of Camp NaNoWriMo. I'm participating this year -- or at least going to give it a shot -- with a goal of writing 30,000 words this month. That's an average of 1,000 words a day, and through clever mathematics, scheduling and kicking ass I hope to get it done. Anyone else joining me at camp?

With that, look for my review of The Reluctant Earl later, today, and more book reviews throughout the month. You can check out any of my reviews from last month by looking in the archive in the right sidebar.

  1. Oh, man, you got me. When you made your big announcement, I was like, "WTH? Laura didn't say a word about this to me!" I did start to get suspicious when you said the book was inspired by 50 Shades - LOL!

    Prince Maxon 4ever!

Oh, and if you're still on your fairy tale kick, you MUST read Entwined by Heather Dixon. That was one of my fave books of 2012. It's absolutely amazing and has a little bit of everything - Romance, Magic, Dashing Heroes, Family Drama, Evil Villains. I really can't say enough good things about the book and I'm sure you'd love it.

    Loved the vlog, as always!

    1. HAHAHA! I have to admit I'm a little glad I tricked someone! I figured no one would believe me. :)

And I will definitely check out that Heather Dixon book. I'll be caught up on my reviews soon, which will give me a chance to tackle that "to-read for kicks" pile next!
