After news broke about Scarlett Johansson's lawsuit against a French publishing in regards to a book that mentioned her a time or 20 (read more about it here), I've given a lot of consideration to what writing celebrities into books looks like.
Aside from the potential ethical dilemma or threat of lawsuit (Really ScarJo? You for serious have time for that) I want to know if other authors have used celebs in their books and why. I also want to hear about other examples of singers, actors, reality stars and more featured in literature.
So, tonight, in my second time as a host of Chick Lit Chat on Twitter, I'll lead a discussion on this topic.
Be there at 7 p.m. CDT using #chicklitchat. See you then.
As a little inspiration, and quite frankly for your viewing pleasure, enjoy "Celebrity" performed by 'NSYNC and starring the love of my life J.C. Chasez.
